Back to the Future: The Musical will launch a North American tour in the summer of 2024, producers announced today. The tour will start less than a year after the show’s Broadway opening , scheduled for August 3 at the Winter Garden Theatre. The musical will open its tour at Playhouse Square in Cleveland in June 2024 and continue to the Belk Theater at Blumenthal Performing Arts Center in Charlotte, North Carolina the following month. The tour will tech and play preview performances at Proctors in Schenectady, New York. Universal Pictures and DreamWorks Animation have unveiled the official title and full cast for the third film in their hit animated musical franchise, Trolls , which opens in theaters nationwide on November 17. Returning to lead the threequel, Trolls Band Together , as expected, are Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick. In a memo to staff today, Destinations’ chairman-CEO Mark Woodbury said Brian Robinson has been named to the role of EVP, Chief Creative Officer and will lead the division’s Creative Studio, including ATI (Advanced Technology Initiatives), Media, Architecture and Planning, and Attraction Development. Currently EVP, Brand Strategy & Creative at Universal Products & Experiences, he will transition out of that role with a planned move to Orlando later this year. The studio has acquired a pitch for a revamp of 1956 horror film The Mole People pitched by Chris Winterbauer , who’ll write the script. In the new take, a woman travels to a town veiled in a conspiracy to rescue her grandchildren from their father. To do this, she must fight through hell in the underground tunnels where the Mole People reside. In the 1956 original, archaeologists stumble into the underground lair of a race of darkness-dwellers who can see in low light and have no pigmentation after being out of the light for so long. Nashville Police Department The intense clip was released Tuesday morning, showing multiple officers clearing classrooms and bathrooms on the first floor of The Covenant School before rushing upstairs where 28-year-old Audrey Hale was shooting at cops outside the building. The police officers find Hale near a window, and officer Rex Engelbert , a 4-year veteran, fires multiple shots at Hale, putting the shooter on the ground. -- a second officer, Michael Collazo , a 9-year veteran shoots Hale again. It is part of a long-term plan for the show, which includes HBO mulling a green light for a third season, I have learned. The news comes as production is about to begin on Season 2 in the UK for a likely summer 2024 premiere. In what is a relatively common practice, HBO did not reveal the episode order in the Season 2 renewal announcement last summer. A dramatic and possibly deadly end to a wild police chase just unfolded outside Los Angeles, as a suspect driving a stolen police cruiser jumped from the vehicle as it was still moving. The whole thing was broadcast live on FOX 11 as officers from the California Highway Patrol raced at high speeds to keep up with the suspect. The man weaved in between lanes of traffic on CA 138 toward Lancaster, and at times could be seen rummaging through the inside of the cop car. CAL FIRE A California skydiver's jump on Monday nearly ended in tragedy -- she crash-landed into power lines -- but, thankfully, she was able to miraculously walk away from the scene unharmed. The Riverside County Fire Department said it got a call regarding the stuck skydiver at around 11:53 a.m. on Monday. Firefighters rushed to the scene in Lake Elsinore ... but they had to leave the woman hanging for 40 minutes as utility workers needed to cut the power from the wires before they could safely extract her. CAL FIRE In photos from the scene, you can see the woman was entwined in a powerline as first responders raced to get her down safely. Eventually, they were able to untangle her and bring her down to the ground, where she was evaluated by medics.
