(Aug. 20) Media: Associated Press NEW YORK (AP) — As a kid, like a lot of us, Jessica Biel practiced giving a speech in front of a mirror for that fairytale moment when she won a top award. But unlike most of us, Biel's moment has a chance to come true — she's nominated for an Emmy Award for best lead actress in a limited series for her role in "The Sinner," the USA Network series that she stars in — and helped bring about as its executive producer. And now that the moment is closer — the Emmy Awards will be presented next month — she's worried that she might get a little tongue-tied. A lot has been said recently about Twitter’s other problems, particularly their alleged liberal bias (it’s not exactly stunning that a tech company based in Silicon Valley just outside of San Francisco would have a cultural bias against conservatives!). The issue of how they can maintain their user rules without destroying all … [Read more...] about Dear Jack Dorsey: Yes Twitter Is Biased, But Your Bigger Problem Is Lack of Transparency
Hey, Glow fans! I've got some great news for you! Netflix has renewed the female wrestling series for a third season! This is a fantastic show filled with characters that make it so much fun to watch. I'm very much looking forward to seeing how the story arcs for these characters play out over the course of another season. The series is inspired by the short-lived show from the 80s and it follows a character named Ruth Wilder (Alison Brie), an out-of-work, struggling actress in 1980s Los Angeles who finds one last chance for stardom in the form of women's wrestling. The second season, which was released back in June, was better than the first season. Hopefully, Season 3 will continue that trend with an even better season. GLOW was created by Liz Flahive (Homeland, Nurse Jackie) and Carly Mensch (Nurse Jackie, Orange Is The New Black, Weeds). The series also stars Betty Gilpin (Nurse Jackie, True Story) and Marc … [Read more...] about Netflix Renews GLOW For Season 3!
