Tigers outfield prospect Jose Azocar takes step forward in Double-A Erie

Toledo, Ohio — Mike Ford homered and singled, driving home two runs as the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders topped the Toledo Mud Hens, 10-5, on Friday (BOX SCORE).
Trey Amburgey doubled and singled with a pair of runs and a couple of RBIs for Scranton/WB.
Scranton/WB started the scoring in the second inning when Brad Miller hit a two-run home run.
The RailRiders later added three runs in the third, two in the sixth, and three in the seventh to secure the victory.
Scranton/WB right-hander Adonis Rosa (1-0) picked up a quality start and the win after allowing five runs on 10 hits over 6.2 innings. Opposing starter Drew VerHagen (0-1) took the loss in the International League game after allowing five runs and six hits over two innings.
Victor Reyes doubled and singled twice, scoring a run and also driving one home for the Mud Hens.
Bowie, Md. — Martin Cervenka hit a solo home run in the eighth inning, leading the Bowie Baysox to a 4-3 win over the Erie SeaWolves on Friday (BOX SCORE).
Zach Muckenhirn (1-2) got the win with 1.1 innings of scoreless relief while Will Vest (1-2) took the loss in the Eastern League game.
Despite the loss, Erie is 8-4 against Bowie this season.
Lakeland, Fla. — Brady Policelli had three hits and scored two runs, and Elvin Rodriguez hurled six scoreless innings as the Lakeland Flying Tigers defeated the Dunedin Blue Jays, 3-1, on Friday (BOX SCORE).
Rodriguez (4-2) picked up the win after he struck out five and walked two while allowing three hits.
Lakeland started the scoring in the first inning when Kody Clemens hit a two-run single.
After Lakeland added a run in the eighth on a double by Clemens, the Blue Jays cut into the deficit in the ninth inning when Chavez Young hit an RBI single, bringing home Ryan Noda.
Maximo Castillo (1-4) went six innings, allowing two runs and seven hits while striking out four to take the tough loss in the Florida State League game.
Single-A West Michigan
Niko Hulsizer drove in two runs with a single to complete a four-run rally in the fifth inning and the Great Lakes Loons defeated the West Michigan Whitecaps 4-3 on Friday. (BOX SCORE)
Wilkel Hernandez started for the Whitecaps and allowed four runs on six hits and struck out five in six innings. Christopher Proctor had two hits.
