Strictly Come Dancing series 16 is nearly here and the class of 2018 have their official sparkling shots to prove it. The 15 celebrities have transformed before our very eyes in their cast shots, embracing the glitter and the sequins ahead of the launch show on Saturday. Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts – who has come under fire for being “too experienced” for the show – is a vision in blue while Steps star Faye Tozer, who has been open to similar criticism, stuns in gold. Capital DJ Vick Hope, broadcaster Kate Silverton, Paralympian Lauren Steadman, journalist Stacey Dooley, campaigner Katie Piper and fashionista Susannah Constantine have all glammed up for their shots, already looking at home amongst all the glamour. YouTube star Joe Sugg, the first social media sensation to take on Strictly, tones his pink suit down with white trainers – a change from his fellow male cast mates who are all in black shoes. This Morning’s Dr Ranj, Blue frontman Lee Ryan, actor Danny John-Jules, cricketer Graeme Swann, comedian Seann Walsh and actor Charles Venn complete the back line looking raring to go. The new series kicks off on Saturday evening with its dazzling launch show, filmed last week, pairing the celebrities up with their professional partners. After finding out their new best friend, all the celebrities will take to the floor for a group dance – our first chance to see how they move. Strictly Come Dancing returns Saturday 8 September at 7.35pm on BBC One.
