GWINNETT, Ga. Alex Presley, Sharlon Schoop and Jaycob Brugman each had three hits Friday night as the Norfolk Tides beat the Gwinnett Stripers 10-3 at Coolray Field. Schoop doubled and singled twice, driving in a run and scoring one. Down 3-0 in the fifth, Gwinnett got a two-run homer from Phil Gosselin. The Tides, who snapped a two-game skid, padded their lead with four runs in the seventh , including a two-run home run by Andrew Susac . Norfolk right-hander Tim Melville (5-0) picked up a quality start and the win after allowing three runs on four hits over eight innings. Opposing starter Max Fried (1-1) took the loss after allowing three runs and seven hits over four innings. The teams meet again at 6:05 tonight.
