About 2,000 Dominion Energy customers in Hampton Roads are without power Monday morning, according to the company’s online outage map. More than 840 in Virginia Beach and about 655 in Chesapeake lost power, a few hundred on the peninsula, and there were scattered outages in the rest of the region. About a thousand customers in northeastern North Carolina are without power, including about 600 in Currituck. A line of storms moved over the area from the west overnight and rain and thunderstorms will exit the area by 10 a.m., according to the National Weather Service’s Wakefield office. The rest of the day will be breezy and cooler. Accomack and Northampton County Schools will open two hours late this morning.
