The big trend this summer: movie titles with colons. This past Friday saw the debut of “X-Men Origins: Wolverine.” Coming up is “Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian,” “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen,” “Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs,” “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra,” “The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard” and “Final Destination: Death Trip 3-D.” Titles without colons but with lots of buzz include the relaunch of the Starship Enterprise (“Star Trek”), the reboot of the “Terminator” films, the return of Quentin Tarantino (“Inglourious Basterds”) and a revisit to “Land of the Lost.” Those hungry for magic have “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,” while those hungry for romance can hitch a ride with “The Time Traveler’s Wife” and anyone just hungry will love Meryl Streep as Julia Child.
