Another thing that you want to do is take a boat tour through the canal. During this time you will learn a lot about Amsterdam and the history that surrounds this place. You can usually hop on and off of these tours, and this will allow you to have time at each of the places where you wish to stop and look.
Amsterdam is famed for the small coffee shops and bars that you can visit. These are the places where you will be able to be exposed to the most culture while you are in Amsterdam. Another thing that you will want to be sure to do on your Amsterdam city break is to take an afternoon and rent bicycles. You can then ride freely around Amsterdam and explore. This is one of the best things that you can do because it will give you a chance to explore the city on your own terms. Just be sure that you take a map, because Amsterdam can be very confusing if you don’t know where you are going.
